Intel Coffee Lake Processor With 6-cores And 12-threads Leaked, 81W TDP, Boost To 4.2 GHz
Intel Coffee Lake will be the 8th generation of processors that Intel is bringing to the table and they should be coming out before the end of the year and should tackle the new AMD Ryzen threat. While it might be too late there are loyal Intel fans that are waiting for the new Intel Coffee Lake CPUs to come out. Here we have some leaked information regarding one of the Cofee Lake CPUs.
There were reports that there will be 6-core, 12-thread Intel Coffee Lake variants coming out and this leak gives those reports more credibility. This leak shows an Intel Coffee Lake CPU that has 6-cores and 12-threads. It has a base clock of 3.1 GHz and a boost clock of 4.2 GHz. The leaked CPU has a TDP of 81W but there will be different variants as well.
There will be variants with fewer cores and threads and these CPUs will have a lower TDP as well. All this information has been found in the Sisoftware database, which has provided some authentic information in the past. Still, you should take this with a grain of salt as the final specifications could turn out to be different as compared to what we see here.
According to reports, the K-series SKUs will be released first and they should hit the shelves before the end of the year. We will be seeing non-K series SKUs in early 2018. This is something that we have seen in the past as well, this is what Intel did with the Skylake series of CPUs back when they were first released.
We also have some more updates regarding Intel Cannon Lake and Ice Lake so be sure to check those out as well if you are interested in staying up to date.
Let us know what you think about the upcoming Intel Coffee Lake CPUs and whether or not you are planning to buy one of these 8th generation CPUs.
