Xbox One Scorpio's goal

Phil Spencer, the president of Xbox, has said on Twitter that the Xbox One Scorpio’s goal is to impress gamers. With so much emphasis placed on graphics and resolution these days, a 4K console like the Scorpio with so much power will have to do a lot of impressing if it wants to be successful.

The Xbox One Scorpio is Xbox’s direct competitor to the Playstation 4 Pro, which came out in November and has already established itself as a 4K console. However, the Xbox One Scorpio reportedly is more powerful than the Pro, with better resolution, higher processing power, and higher graphics.

While we haven’t seen any actual demonstrations of the Xbox One Scorpio and its capabilities, if the Xbox One Scorpio’s goal really is to impress gamers then Xbox will have to allow it to be played at E3 or other events before it comes out, and even then it might not impress gamers to the extent of the Playstation 4 Pro.

While the Pro has been shown to have a number of flaws, the ability of the Scorpio to not only address those same flaws but to also fix them will be an important part of the Scorpio and its impression on the public. With more people wanting a Playstation 4 Pro than an Xbox One Scorpio, Microsoft needs to make sure that the Xbox One Scorpio’s goal is reached and that it actually impresses gamers.

The Playstation 4 has held the advantage over the Xbox One Scorpio since the two consoles launched, with higher resolution, better graphics, and more exclusive games. The Xbox One also was announced without any games demonstrated, which also didn’t help its chances.

While some have called the Xbox One Scorpio the most powerful console ever, that title depends on how powerful the Scorpio actually is, and if it’s better not only than the Playstation 4 but also the Playstation 4 Pro.

The Xbox One Scorpio is supposed to be released sometime this holiday.
