Tekken 7 is just a day away from launch for PC and consoles. However, Bandai Namco also announced Tekken X Street Fighter back in 2010 and it has been in development hell since, with Bandai Namco teasing news about the game during the Nintendo Switch saying stay tuned for Tekken X Street Fighter no progress on the game has been made. Now, game director for Tekken 7 has revealed when the game will launch.

In an interview with GameInformer, game director Katsuhiro Harada was asked about Tekken X Street Fighter and when it will launch. According to Harada, the time is not right for releasing the game as the best time for the game to launch is when everyone will have forgotten about the game, as this would be a better way in terms of marketing.

Marketing-wise, it’d probably have the most impact if we put it out when everyone’s already forgotten about it…

If we are to guess then we will not see the game anytime soon and until then we will have to make do with the upcoming Tekken 7. Also, Bandai Namco has confirmed that the PC version of Tekken 7 will use the anti-tamper technology of Denuvo to stop the game from being pirated.

Tekken 7 is a fighting video game in development at Bandai Namco and is scheduled to launch on Jue 2, 2017, for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
