Assassin’s Creed Origins Trailer Leak is Fake, Created by a French Designer

This year Assassin's Creed is rumored to be named as Assassin's Creed Origins and is set in Egypt. Assassin's Creed Origins Trailer leaked online earilier..

This year’s Assassin’s Creed is rumored to be named Assassin’s Creed Origins and is set in Egypt.  A video leaked online earlier which convinced us all that it is the new Assassin’s Creed game. The footage confirmed the setting to be Egypt but we have confirmation that the footage is fake.

It is hard to believe due to how well it was crafted but the leaked video is not from Assassin’s Creed Origins aka Assassin’s Creed Empire. The video is created by a French Interactive and Motion Designer. It is one of the most convincing fakes we have seen.

Recently, the official Facebook page of Assassin’s Creed franchise has teased the upcoming Assassin’s Creed title with a new image and asked the community to stay tuned for more. The fake used the same image as the title screen and generated a very convincing wide shot of what appeared to be a town in Egypt.

Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed announcement is close and E3 seems to be a safe bet. However, we may see an official teaser days before the event. But it is safe to say that this leak has nothing to do with the new Assassin’s Creed.

Speaking of leaks, a recent post on Reddit apparently shows the new Assassin’s Creed: Origins character picture that has helped us partially identify what might be the protagonist of Assassin’s Creed: Origins. The shirt in question was apparently available at a GameStop, which also sells video gaming memorabilia in addition to various video games.

Assassin’s Creed is releasing on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC before Spring 2018.
