Pokemon: Magikarp Jump Guide
Fishing a New Magikarp
Once your Magikarp has retired, return to Roddy Tackle & choose an old rod. With the rod at your disposal, fish for a random Magikarp. After acquiring a Magikarp, you will have the option of fishing again for a few Diamonds. This is in case you do not like the Magikarp you found. Another important thing to bear in mind is if your old Magikarp retired in a pleasant way, it will have a nice interaction with your new Magikarp.
Magikarp Retires Automatically
Once your Magikarp hits the Max Level, you will be asked to compete in your current League until your Magikarp loses. If your Magikarp loses or wins the entire thing, it will automatically retire & live in your pond. You should be able to see its competitive stats, generation, JP, and other details by tapping on it. With your Magikarp retired, use the method provided above to fish for a new one. It is also important to note that automatically retired Magikarp have a pleasant interaction with the newly fished Magikarp.
During the course of the game, you will come across random Special Events that involve high risk, high reward scenarios. These Special Events provide you with a chance to earn additional JP or Diamonds but at the risk of losing your Magikarp – forever! Therefore, if you have a high-level Magikarp, do not consider partaking in these Special Events.
