New 2K Game Might Be Coming In 2018, XCOM? New Borderlands?

Take-Two Interactive, the publisher of a number of studios like Rockstar Games, 2K, and more, have actually teased a new 2K game that will be coming in the future, even one sometime next year. We don’t really have an idea of what it is, but apparently it’s one of 2K’s biggest.

There are a large number of games that 2K has worked on that have been fairly successful; ranging from XCOM to Borderlands, or other games like it. However, we won’t see what that is anytime in the near future; 2K has said that they don’t plan to show anything off when E3 rolls around.

So, whatever the new 2K game might be, we won’t be hearing about it for a good while. We’ll likely hear about it sometime next year or in the second half of this year. The 2018 fiscal year ends in March of 2019, after all, so it’s likely that between now, and then, we’ll be seeing what 2K is working on.

The last game that 2K has worked on in the recent past is XCOM 2, which came out last year in February. That game turned out to be a commercial success, despite a number of different bugs that dragged its rating down for many. If it’s another sequel to a game like XCOM or a similar property, 2017 and 2018 may be a very good few fiscal years for Take-Two.

E3 is only a few weeks away, so while Take-Two might not show us anything from 2K, there’s a lot of different publishers and games that they might show us through one of the other conferences that are going to happen.

In the meantime, fans of 2K and any of their franchises will just have to wait and see which new 2K game will be coming out in the next year.
