What Do We Learn from New Red Dead Redemption Screenshots?

Red Dead Redemption 2 was delayed to 2018 but developer Rockstar released a bunch of screenshots to make up for the disappointing news. These images are staged and don’t give away anything solid but still, we will try to extract anything and everything from the pictures.

The first image we will be taking a look at shows a character that is pretty bulky and might just be our lead character. We have seen this man before in the very first trailer of Red Dead Redemption 2. But who knows? Could this be the antagonist? Well, it is anybody’s guess at this point but one thing that this image confirms is the fact that we will be able to dual-wield our weapons in the game.

Moving on, the second image we have shows four characters riding horses. We have seen seven characters in total as part of the gang but since there are only four here, it seems this image is from a mission where they have either split up or only 4 members have joined the task. We also brightened the image a bit for a better view of their faces.

The next image shows the level of detail developers are going for. The lighting is superb as well as the vegetation.

The following image is pretty interesting; once again dual-wielding is being hinted at but also, we can see the engravings on the guns. So far we haven’t been able to make anything of these engravings but if you see something do take to the comments and let us know. Moreover, it could also mean that we might be able to customize our weapons in Red Dead Redemption 2.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is releasing on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One next year. More on the game will be shared in the coming weeks leading up to E3 2017.
