Sources: Leaked Assassin’s Creed Image is Not Fake

An image from this year’s Assassin’s Creed title leaked online earlier. The image you see above looked pretty legit and confirmed the Egyptian setting for this year’s Assassin’s title, rumored to be dubbed as Assassin’s Creed: Origins or Empire. The image also showed the lead character hauling a boat.

However, like all such leaks, the community is skeptical and prefers taking it lightly before official confirmation. But according to Eurogamer’s sources, the image we have is not fake and is indeed from the next Assassin’s Creed. If Eurogamer is to be believed then we should prepare to head to Egypt this year.

The draw distance in the leaked image is pretty impressive and indicates that the map would be huge for Origins/Empire. The map for this game is rumored to be three times the size of Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag. Considering the scale of the map (if true), we can very well expect it to blow us away, given all sorts of missions and activities we can expect from the game of that size.

The game is said to have two playable characters, similar to Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate. The main characters are played by a male and a female, again similar to Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate where we played as Evie and Jacob Frye during different points in the game.

Still, regardless of confirmation from Eurogamer, we do not have any official word so we recommend you be cautiously optimistic about playing as multiple characters, heading to Egypt or even playing as Altair’s ancestor.
