Recently, Remedy Entertainment revealed that it is working on a new title codenamed “P7” which will be a multiplatform title since the developer has ported its Northlight Game engine to PS4. Now, Remedy Entertainment has announced that it has signed a worldwide publishing deal with 505 Games for its upcoming title.

505 games is a label of the Italian publishing and distribution group Digital Bros and will publish the game worldwide. The publisher will also fund the development for the next Remedy Entertainment title with the investment of €7.75 million and the deal also includes 45% royalties on net sales.

The new game, codenamed “Project 7” (P7) is a cinematic third-person action game set in a new Remedy-created universe. Featuring an intriguing story and a game structure offering a long-lasting experience, P7 contains the deepest game mechanics yet in a Remedy game. The game is built on Remedy’s proprietary Northlight® technology.

Soon after the announcement of P7, many gamers speculated that the upcoming title might be Alan Wake 2, however, Remedy Entertainment has clarified that the upcoming P7 is not Alan Wake 2. According to the studio, while they would love to share details about Alan Wake 2 but for now their focus is Crossfire 2 and P7.

Alan Wake fans have been waiting for Alan Wake 2 for years and have been asking Microsoft if it would publish the sequel or not. However, according to Xbox head, Phil Spencer, Remedy is not interested in developing an Alan Wake sequel.

Aside from P7, Remedy Entertainment is also working on Crossfire 2, a tactical shooter in development at Smilegate and Remedy is co-developing singleplayer for Crossfire 2.

No gameplay details have been revealed for CrossFire 2, but Smilegate hopes that new technology, game modes, and storytelling will make CrossFire 2 a popular shooter not only for the Asian market but also in the rest of the world.

With how Remedy describes P7, it might be a brand new IP and we might have to wait a year at least for Remedy Entertainment to fully reveal the game.
