Final Fantasy 7 And Kingdom Hearts 3 Release Won’t Be Before Q1 2018
According to Square Enix, the Final Fantasy 7 and Kingdom Hearts 3 release dates aren’t going to be coming out any time before March 2018, once again delaying two of the publisher’s most-anticipated upcoming titles. Both games have been in development for several years now, with no indication of a release date.
Kingdom Hearts is yet another entry in the extremely popular Kingdom Hearts series, coming after Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance in story terms. While there’s no indication that it will wrap up the series’s overarching story, the game is highly anticipated.
Final Fantasy 7 is a remake of the original Final Fantasy 7, hailed as one of the best Final Fantasy games and one of the best games ever. That game was announced at E3 2015, but we’ve heard basically nothing about it in the interim.
Now, we have confirmation from Square Enix that Final Fantasy 7 and Kingdom Hearts 3 release dates won’t be coming until early in 2018. Even then, we may not end up getting either game that year; it all depends on how each game is going.
One Famitsu interview back earlier in the year implied that the Final Fantasy 7 development was only on the early concept stages, however that was just the interviewer’s interpretation and it’s likely that it’s farther along than that.
Kingdom Hearts 3 may be farther along, however, considering we’ve seen not only a number of screenshots but also a few instances of gameplay in the past few months.
Hopefully both games will actually be getting confirmed release dates at some point in the near future. Square Enix fans have been kept waiting long enough to see Kingdom Hearts get more content, and play one of the best Final Fantasy games again.
Either way we’ll just have to look out for the Final Fantasy 7 and Kingdom Hearts 3 release dates coming sometime in the future.
