Bayonetta 3 announcement

Platinum Games has apparently started teasing us with a possible Bayonetta 3 announcement trailer, posting several scenes from both Bayonetta and Bayonetta 2 and repeating them three times. While there’s been no indication of a new Bayonetta game, Platinum has been making a lot of teases and announcements over the past few days.

Since Bayonetta was released onto the PC on April 11, Platinum has been making a variety of new announcements and teases. Whether it’s putting up a seemingly random image of the protagonist of Vanquished into the game’s “Extras” or doing this, Platinum seems to be teasing a lot of stuff.

It’s been three years since Bayonetta 2 released back in 2014, after the original game released in 2009. Plus, with the success of Nier: Automata, Platinum Games has been able to bounce back from the cancellation of Scalebound earlier this year.

If it does turn out to be the build-up to a Bayonetta 3 announcement trailer, many Platinum gamers that are fans of Bayonetta might think that it’s a long-overdue announcement. If it isn’t, however, it just means we’ll have to wait longer for the game to come out.

The closest time that Platinum Games could show off a Bayonetta 3 announcement trailer would be at E3, which is coming in June just over a month away. Since Bayonetta 2 was announced at E3 2014 during the Nintendo conference, it’s likely that any possible Bayonetta 3 might get the same.

However, as much as people might be looking forward to Bayonetta 3, there’s always the possibility that the clips are leading to something entirely different. As unlikely as that would be (especially considering there’s no other information on all the teaser clips), it’s always a possibility.

In the meantime, take a look at Platinum’s official YouTube page to see the clips for yourself, and hope that they are building up to a Bayonetta 3 announcement trailer.
