AMD Vega is the talk of the town these days and all eyes are on AMD to introduce something that will leave a positive impression. There have been some speculations regarding when AMD Vega will be coming out but now we have confirmation from AMD that Vega will be coming this quarter. The new architecture will feature GPUs for the high-end market.

Vega has a lot of potential and we have seen a couple of demos that reveal the power of AMD Vega. There have been some leaks as well, so we do know a bit about what to expect from the upcoming line of AMD Vega GPUs. These should be able to tackle the GTX 1080 and GTX 1080 Ti, at least that is what the speculations reveal.

We are already a month into the first quarter of 2017 which means that AMD Vega is a couple of weeks away or could be around the corner. We are not sure about the exact launch but knowing that after so much wait it is finally going to be announced is something to be excited about.

This will be the most powerful graphics product that AMD has brought to the table in terms of gaming and I for one, am very excited to see what AMD will have to offer. We also got to see a rendering demo at the NAB show in Las Vegas, here we saw that the graphics architecture could easily handle 8K rendering using Adobe’s Premiere Pro CC 2017.

From what we have seen so far AMD Vega seems very promising and the fact that AMD talked about Vega coming out this quarter on the official Facebook page is exciting news indeed. AMD Vega has the following features:

  • 4x Power Efficiency
  • 2x Peak Throughput/Performance Per Clock
  • High Bandwidth Cache
  • 2x Bandwidth per pin
  • 8x Capacity Per stack (2nd Generation High Bandwidth Memory)
  • 512TB Virtual Address Space
  • Next Generation Compute Engine
  • Next Generation Pixel Engine
  • Next Generation Compute Unit optimized for higher clock speeds
  • Rapid Packed Math
  • Draw Stream Binning Rasterizer
  • Primitive Shaders

Let us know what you think about AMD Vega and whether or not you would be interested in getting a high-end GPU from team Red this year.
