FTC Warns Users Of Malware Scams for Nintendo Switch Emulators

There are no real Nintendo Switch emulators that you can download. It is all a scam. Here is what you need to know about the issue.

Nintendo Switch has turned out to be the best-selling device that Nintendo has put into production. The games that come out for the Nintendo Switch are not available on other platforms and that can be a bummer for some people that do not own a Nintendo Switch. In such cases, people tend to search for Nintendo Switch emulators.

If you have been searching for Nintendo Switch emulators and have had zero luck finding any then the reason behind it is that there are none. There is no use trying to find one and you will just be wasting your time. Software claiming to be Nintendo Switch emulators are scams that are infected with malware. This is something that you should avoid downloading.

This has become a concern over the past few days and even the Federal Trade Commission has released a statement warning people that such an emulator does not exist and that people should refrain from downloading shady scam software. According to the Federal Trade Commission:

If you can’t get your hands on a Nintendo Switch gaming system, you may think an emulator is the next best thing. Think again. Online ads for emulators, sometimes with Nintendo branding, say they can run Switch’s games on your desktop. But there is no legit Nintendo Switch emulator. It’s a scam.
