Infinite Warfare Zombies: Shaolin Shuffle Easter Egg Guide

Track down the Rat King.

Similar to Zombies Mode featured in earlier Call of Duty games, Infinite Warfare also features an elaborative Easter Egg in the Shaolin Shuffle map. This is a huge map set in 1970s New York – only, it’s overrun by the undead.

Completing the Shaolin Shuffle Easter Egg requires a lot of time and effort owing to its multiple steps. Each of these individual steps has its own lengthy process to complete, which is why most players seek help completing them.

How to complete the Easter Egg in Shaolin Shuffle

To complete the Easter Egg in Shaolin Shuffle, we will break the process down into multiple steps. It is worth noting that these steps are quite extensive, so be prepared to invest a lot of time in them.

FYI

The Shaolin Shuffle Easter Egg can be completed in both the solo mode and with a team. If you plan to do it solo, Pam Grier will show up herself to help you in the boss fight, providing never-ending revives.

Step #1: Turn on the power

The first thing you do on any map is to turn on the power. In Shaolin Shuffle, this task is a bit complicated. Here, instead of a singular generator, you have to find four different switches you need to find and activate to turn the power on.

These are located in all four corners of the map, which are as follows:

  • Power Switch #1: On a pillar behind the subway in the spawn room.
  • Power Switch #2: On a brick wall in the small section next to the Deadeye Dewdrops Perk Machine.
  • Power Switch #3: On the wall next to the tracks in the underground subway.
  • Power Switch #4: On the roof of the Inferno Disco building, next to the gate with the lightning bolt symbol.

After you have turned the power on, you will be able to unlock the whole map, including some new doors and most of the Perk Machines on the map.

Step #2: Find the Pack-a-Punch Machine

Although finding the Pack-a-Punch isn’t necessary to complete this EE, we recommend doing it to make the process alot easier. You will need the improved firepower to survive the higher rounds and the boss fights in the end.

To find the Pack-a-Punch Machine, you need to find three Projector Parts scattered around the map. These Projector Parts can spawn in several locations:

  • Strip Club Token – Near Jugger-Nog/Tuff Nuff Perk Machine in the subway.
  • Pink Cat Flyer – Near Quickies, on the walkway across Pink Cat, in the trash next to the dojo door, and on a stool in the stairwell leading to the rooftops.
  • Film Reel – Near Underground Lockers of the Bang Bang Subway, atop the stairs near Jugger-Nog, at the top floor of the Inferno Disco, and on a chair in the Pink Cat Club.

After you have acquired all three Projector Parts, access the Projector Room inside the Pink Cat Strip Club and interact with the projector to find the Pack-a-Punch Machine.

Step #3: Find the Rats

With the two steps out of the way, we can now begin solving the Infinity War Easter Egg properly.

The first thing that you need to do is to speak to Pam inside the Dojo a couple of times. She allows you to choose one of four different elemental “Chi(s)”. Your first task is to complete the objectives and upgrade your select Chi to level 5 and unlock the Shurikens, which are necessary for this EE.

FYI

You can also play as Pam Grier in Shaolin Shuffle.

Once done, explore the map and find rat cages scattered around the area. Inside one of these cages, you will find a living rat.

TIP

Try to have most, if not all, of the doors on the map unlocked for this step to make tracking the rat easier.

After you have found a cage with a rat inside, consume a Chi juice and activate a Chi mode. Once done, hit the cage with a  Shuriken. This will force the rat to run into another cage. Make sure to follow the rat or you will have to check all the cages again!

You need to repeat this step four times – causing the cage to explode and the rat to disappear.

Step #4: Acquire the Locker Key

After the completion of the previous step, you should be able to notice a circle next to the final cage. At this point, you need to charge the circle by killing zombies in its vicinity but only using a Chi ability.

At some point, ninja zombies will spawn and you will have to kill all of them within the vicinity. After you have killed enough zombies, the circle will disappear and you will receive the Locker Key. Pick it up and move to the next step.

Step #5: Access the Underground Locker

After you have acquired the Locker Key from the previous step, head over to the lockers in the underground area of the map, near the Subway System entrance. Once there, look for a locker with a Chinese character on it.

This is the locker you need to unlock with the key you acquired in the previous step. The inside of this locker will read “SOULKEY”.

Step #6: Upgrade the Pack-a-Punch Machine

You should be able to find three fuse slots on the opposite wall of the Pack-a-Punch Machine. Do not forget about them!

Press the button and head over to the area with the Racing Stripes Perk. Once there, pick up three fuses from the fuse box nearby and head over to the train tracks. After getting there, walk over the electrified cables, place the fuses on the ground, and wait for the train to run over them.

After that, pick up the fuses and insert them into the machine located in the Pack-a-Punch Machine. This should upgrade the Pack-a-Punch Machine. As simple as that!

Step #7: Hitt the Symbols

Once you have upgraded the Pack-a-Punch Machine, you need to look for some Chinese Symbols and shoot them. Here is where you need to find and hit these symbols using a single bullet only:

  • Symbol #1: This symbol x3 Circular Dots is on the streets outside of the spawn next to the Dojo.
  • Symbol #2: This is a borderless symbol that is found inside a zombie spawn window within the bathroom of the Inferno Disco.
  • Symbol #3: Next to the lion statue near the Deadeye Dewdrops Perk Machine. Shoot the first symbol.
  • Symbol #4: Same as the previous one. This time, shoot the second symbol.
FYI

Each symbol needs to be shot in the aforementioned order and only once!

You should be able to hear a sound clue for hitting the correct symbol – making this a whole lot easier!

Step #8: Acquire Rat King Eyeball

After the completion of the previous step, head over to the Dojo and look for a symbol on the ground. Interact with the symbol to encounter the Rat King boss. You simply need to deal as much damage to the Rat King boss as possible and acquire the Rat King Eyeball.

TIP

Since there’s no real strategy to defeat the Rat King, we recommend PaPing your weapons and getting most of the Perks to have the best chances of defeating the guy.

Step #9: Rat King Symbols

Once you have acquired the Rat King Eyeball, throw it in different places – given below – on the map to look for hidden Rat King Symbols. After you have found one, hit it with a Shrunken and notice one of the phone booths in the Subway Station turn red. Here are the locations you need to keep in mind:

  • On the watertower at the rooftop of Inferno Disco
  • Directly above the Dojo Door
  • Through the Barbershop window next to the Dojo
  • Between the stairs and the subway inside the Bang Bang subway area
  • Up the wooden scaffolding next to the apartment right across the Dojo rooftop
  • Left-hand-side of the Inferno Disco Sign
  • In the left corner of the Inferno Disco lobby.
  • On the building with a shack on the roof to the right of the Ripper wall-buy
  • Near Deadeye Dewdrops, on a piece of cloth hanging from a clothesline
  • On the duct visible through the skylight in the Inferno Disco
  • Directly behind the Train, Near the Spawn Area
  • Directly behind Speaker in the Heebie Geebies
  • Near the Bombstoppers Perk Machine, Near the Police Vehicle

There are 13 locations the secret Rat King symbols can spawn in, but you only need to shoot 6 of them to complete this step. Since the occurrence of these symbols is random and they can appear anywhere in these locations, be prepared to search the whole map for them.

Some areas are hard to spot, which is why I recommend checking this video tutorial by xGodsofWar.

Step #10: Find the Morse Code and Place the Poster

Once you are done with the previous step, one of the phones will start to ring. This could be any one of the phones either on the upper floor of the spawn room or the Bang Bang area.

You need to pick it up and remember the Morse Code. The code will be a series of “dots” and “dashes” with the dots being the beeps. If you don’t know you can use the Morse code translator attached here.

TIP

We recommend writing the Morse Code down in case you forget it.

The Morse Code you receive on the phone will translate to a set of 3 random numbers. After learning the numbers, find the ‘Nightmare Summer’ poster with the same digits on the bottom-left side of the poster and interact with it.

After acquiring the poster, head over to the rooftop of the Inferno Disco and place the poster you found earlier on the searchlight. Shoot the poster and break the window on which the light falls using an explosive.

Doing that will cause a bunch of ninja zombies to spawn. After handling them, six new symbols will appear on the Inferno Disco rooftop:

  • On the wall opposite the scaffolding
  • On the table in the sitting area
  • To the left of the door leading below
  • In the zombie spawn window
  • Under the blue scaffolding

Shooting all the symbols mentioned above will reveal a bunch of English letters. You must try and make words out of the letters you get by shooting the symbols. Some examples include:

  • Memories
  • Ratking
  • Nunchucks
  • Yetieyes
  • Shuffle
  • Katana
  • Crane
  • Breeder
  • Pamgrier

Step #11: Rat King Boss

After the completion of the previous step, you need to head over to the RPR Evo wall-buy and interact with the Rat King symbol to start another fight. Use the same strategy as before and complete the boss fight to get the Rat King’s Glowing Brain.

Step #12: The Turnstile Gate

After defeating the boss, continue to play the game as normal and after a couple of rounds, you will be teleported inside the Dojo.

You must survive this encounter in order to acquire the Turnstile Gate from the outside of the Dojo. You need to place the Turnstile Gate in the broken turnstile in the Subway Station.

Step #13: Collect Zombie Souls

You need to climb the ladder near the Mule Munchies and shoot the Rat King symbol through the window to spawn yellow circles around the map. You need to charge these yellow circles by killing zombies. This time, however, charging one circle would require many rounds of zombies. After completing all the circles, you will receive a gong.

Next, head to the Inferno Disco’s DJ Booth and interact with the vinyl machines to start the party. This will cause a Disco Zombie to spawn inside the disco. Therefore, head over to the dance floor and start killing the Disco Zombie.

You will notice that the disco ball will continue to jump from one zombie to the other. You need to continue killing the Disco Zombie until the disco ball stops spawning.

Once done, head over to the cars area between the Pack-a-Punch Machine and Inferno Disco and interact with the Rat King symbol once again. Similar to previous encounters defeat the Rat King again to acquire the Rat King Heart.

Step #14: Defeat the Rat King once and for all

Speak to Pam in the Dojo after you have acquired all three parts of the Rat King. Then, head to the Rat King’s Lair in the sewer. Continue to play the game as normal and look for max ammo.

After completing the round, the final version of the Rat King will spawn. This time, the boss fight will be harder and comes in three phases – Eye, Brain, and Heart. You will be free to choose each phase.

Defeat the Rat King boss after the third phase and you will be rewarded with a Soul Key and the Katana from the Dojo. Now, you can sit back, relax, and watch the cut scene, finally completing the Shaolin Shuffle Easter Egg in Infinity Warfare.
