Star Wars Battlefront 2 early access is officially confirmed by EA. Players will be able to access the game early, unlike Titanfall 2 which didn’t have early access for EA Origin and EA Access members.

Players will be able to access Battlefront 2 a few days early through not only EA Access and EA Origin Access but pre ordering the game will also get you in early.

According to EA, Star Wars Battlefront 2 early access is tied to EA Access as well as pre order for the game. Pre ordering the special edition for Battlefront 2 will allow players to get 3 days head start in Battlefront 2.

The Deluxe Edition includes:

  • Star Wars Battlefront II: The Last Jedi Heroes
  • Play Star Wars Battlefront II early
  • Elite Officer Upgrade Pack
  • Heavy Metal Upgrade Pack
  • Armored Assault Upgrade Pack
  • Master Specialist Upgrade Pack

Multiplayer will be accessible and possibly some part of the story for EA Access/Origin members. Meanwhile, those who pre order the Deluxe Edition will have access to the full game 3 days early on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

The deluxe edition retails for $80 and does not include the season pass. EA has apparently scrapped the season pass in favor of “something different.” Doing this, EA sparked worries over pay-to-win Microtransactions. However, nothing is confirmed for the time being.

EA choosing to go without a season pass seems to be a direct reaction to the positive reception of TitanFall 2’s monetization strategy.

Star Wars Battlefront 2 is scheduled to release on consoles and PC in November. More news expected at Sony’s E3 2017 press event and EA PLAY in June.
