PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds: Things to Avoid While Playing

By   /   Apr 17, 2017

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is an increasingly popular battle royale game in which you have to survive against 99 other players. If you are new to the game or are considering buying a copy then this guide will help you out.

Let me tell you that the game is still in early access and has not been fully developed so you will find a couple of bugs here and there. The game does crash now and then as well. Even though these inconsistencies are there the game has still sold 1 million digital copies.

This number gives you a good idea about how addictive PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds can be and this guide will help you get that chicken dinner.

Do Not Try To Outrun The Force Field

PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds

The force field moves very quickly so it is a good idea to say well ahead of it. Once it has passed over you there is little chance that you can outrun it especially if it is in the late game where the force field does increased damage over time.

A car can be handy in these kinds of situations. A vehicle will help you get back in the circle faster but it will also make you a bigger target if the circle is small and there are people already camping inside the circle waiting for you to enter.

Stay Clear Of Open Areas

Open areas with little to no cover can make you an easy target. Checking out your map or the inventory in the open can be a huge mistake. A moving target can be harder to hit but in this case you are still and doing pretty much nothing. This means that someone with a sniper can easily kill you with a single headshot.

Know Your Surroundings

PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds

At the end of the day PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is a survival game and noone cares how many kills you get if you are not going to be able to make it to the very end of the game. You need to use 3rd person point of view to check out your surroundings.  This can come in handy when you are indoors or need to look around a corner.

Knowing is half the battle and knowing where your enemy is will make it easier for you to survive longer when it comes to PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds.

Don’t Stand In Windows For Too Long

Standing in windows for too long will give away your position and make it easier for enemies to see you. This way they can just camp and wait for you to come out or come towards them. Why make it so easy when it can be avoided in the first place?

Headphones Are Key

PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds

If you think this is one of those games that you can play without a pair of decent headphones then you are mistaken. You will need your sense of sound in this game as you will need to hear enemies coming your way, shots fired as well as incoming package drops.

It is safe to say that your sense of sound is equally important as your aim in this game.

Clear Buildings Before Looting

PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds

If you find loot in a building, chances are that you will go and pick up all that you can. At times other players will try to bait you in this way. Be sure to check out the building and make sure other players are not camping there.

It is possible that other people are just waiting for you to come to them and are using you to do all the looting for them so that they can pick up items from your body when you are dead.

These are the 6 things that you should try to avoid when playing PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds.
