PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Guide to help you become a better player with our gameplay tips and strategies.
There are a lot of things to consider when it comes to PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds. Knowing things like which weapon to use in a situation, how a weapon reacts, which fights to take, etc. will help you by a longshot.
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Guide
In our PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Guide, we’ve detailed some of the best tips and strategies to help you become a better player in the game.
First Things First
If you wish to become a better player in PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, you must get a few things straight! Learning to use sound to your advantage, familiarizing yourself with weapon animations, and deciding where to land initially will help you immensely.
If you haven’t, please look at our Best Loot Locations Map to see the most congested areas. It’s solely your choice where you land but the Military Base, Novorepnoye, and Mylta Power are some of the best places to acquire weapons, high-level equipment, healing items, and ammunition.
Once you’ve acquired a weapon, you must also find the compatible ammo. Most of the times, you’ll find ammo lying next to a weapon. Having a fair understand of which weapon uses which type of ammo will help you in the long run.
With all these things done, you must understand which fights you can take & win. After all, this is the entire point of the game. This is where sound comes in! In addition to paying close attention to footsteps and vehicles, you should also try to learn how different weapons sound in the game.
I mean, you don’t want to engage a player with a shotgun at point-blank range or a sniper at long-range.
Lastly, I highly recommend playing the game on ‘low’ graphics settings because it causes grass to disappear & provides you with a clear line of sight. Try playing it on low/ultra and you should be able to tell the difference.
Forcing the other players by constantly building pressure is one of the best things you can do in the game. For instance, if you manage to land a successful hit, you’ll force the other player to heal. Since healing in PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds takes some time, it should provide you with ample time to go in for a kill.
On the other hand, if you see someone in a house, try throwing in a bomb to force other players into making a bad decision and take advantage of it.
Which Weapons to Use
You should try and change your weapons, depending on your location. If you’re inside buildings or within cities, it’s recommended to choose an SMG or a Shotgun. However, when you’re outside cities and in areas with long lines of sight, try switching to an Assault Rifle or a Sniper Rifle.
What attachments you want to equip on your weapons is solely your call but I recommend something like a silencer, red dot sight, etc. These attachments should allow you to score accurate hits without getting caught.
When using sights, try to hold your breath for more accurate shots. This is something not a lot of players know, so make sure to take advantage of this.
Getting Shot? Here’s What You Need to Do!
While getting shot, you need to avoid standing still & be as unpredictable as you can! To do so, try to move in a zig-zag pattern instead of moving in a straight line. Once you’re behind cover, only then try to heal!
If you don’t have any decent cover nearby, try to fire back! If you don’t have a clue about the other player’s location, simply fire in your guessed direction & you should survive in some instances. If you’re getting shot at while inside a building, try to fire a safe place & stand still.
At this point, try to listen to another player’s footsteps & then make your move.
If you need to cross a river, always remember that the swimming underwater is faster as compared to swimming on the surface. However, while swimming underwater, keep a close eye on the lungs icon.
