Bioware has already announced that it is working on a brand new IP but the studio has not yet officially revealed what is this new IP. Now a report has emerged that suggests the game’s reveal date and takes inspiration from the game like Destiny and The Division.

Industry insider, Liam ‘Unseen64’ Robertson, in his most recent podcast, the same podcast in which he suggested that Bioware is working on Star Wars Knights Of The Old Republic, revealed that the new IP is codenamed, Dylan. According to the report, the name is related to the game’s protagonist and this new IP from Bioware will be revealed during E3 2017.

Dylan is, from what I understand, a sci-fi themed game, it is sort of Destiny-style, takes some elements from The Division, it has like MMO elements. Someone described it as a ‘semi-MMO.

I don’t know much more than that… it is a huge scale project, perhaps the biggest BioWare has ever done. It’s bigger than Mass Effect Andromeda, considerably so. It will have co-op.

During a recent EA’s earning’s call, EA CEO Andrew Wilson talked about the new IP from Bioware, confirming that it will launch by the end of the upcoming fiscal year which ends on March 31, 2018.

At the end of the fiscal year, our BioWare studio will be delivering an all-new IP, a clean-sheet design with new concepts, new gameplay mechanics, and new stories set in a unique new universe. This game has the potential to fundamentally disrupt the way people think about an action title, bringing friends together to play in an exhilarating new way. We’re very excited about the future of this new franchise and its ability to attract a large, global audience.

He further described the game as an action-adventure title and hinted that this new IP from Bioware will blend multiple genres.

Since Mass Effect Andromeda has launched we are hopeful that Bioware will soon reveal this new IP.
