People Can Fly Talks Bulletstorm 2, Release Plans Discussed
People Can Fly, the developer behind Bulletstorm and Bulletstorm: Full Clip, became independent two years and the very first thing that was discussed is Bulletstorm for current-gen consoles.
The discussion resulted in the creation of Bulletstorm: Full Clip. However, fans want to see the sequel to this popular shooter IP. Speaking with SegmentNext, developer People Can Fly stated that they want to do another game, they will do another game but:
A couple of things had to happen prior to a serious discussion about a sequel. Firstly People Can Fly had to become an independent studio again. This happened less than two years ago and our first decision was to bring a Bulletstorm game to new consoles.
The second thing that needs to happen – launch of Bulletstorm: Full Clip. It’s coming this Friday. We are super excited about it! Another piece to this puzzle is how well it will go. I have high expectations that Bulletstorm: Full Clip will be successful and a huge milestone on a road to a sequel.
The second game’s development is tied to the success of Full Clip so if you wish to see another game, grab Full Clip to finance the sequel. In this day and age, financing the game is not as difficult as it was a decade ago.
Crowdfunding platforms allow developers to fund their games while keeping their freedom intact. But it seems people over at People Can Fly is yet to seriously consider crowdfunding campaigns for their future games.
