He said in a tweet that the most of the Star Wars Celebration game presentation will be about Star Wars Battlefront 2 which will launch later this year.
According to EA, Star Wars Battlefront 2 is “dramatically larger” than 2015’s Star Wars Battlefront. The company also confirmed that the sequel will feature “a lot of new characters” from the newer Star Wars movies. He added that Star Wars universe is very vast and it is “unbelievable to build games” in it.
Former Uncharted director, Amy Hennig, is the one directing the upcoming Star Wars game from Visceral Games. According to Amy, the new Star Wars game will be spiritually similar to Uncharted series. She insisted that it won’t be “Star Wars uncharted” and said that it is an important distinction to be made.
She explained that in Uncharted players will not see the game cutting away to show the villain’s point of view, it is a third person game but players are always following the protagonist like Indiana Jones movies.
Titanfall series developer, Respawn Entertainment, is another studio working on a Star Wars title, however, the studio has clarified that it will not be revealing anything about the game anytime soon.
The new Star Wars game from Visceral Games will be an action adventure title and is speculated to launch in 2018 for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
