Jeff Kaplan Not Sure About an Overwatch Nintendo Switch Port

Whether you think Switch is a good device or not, it has still managed to become the talk of the town. Besides its issues, infact, many people are happy with the Switch console, even Overwatch director Jeff Kaplan. With a short statement on Reddit, Kaplan has expressed his positive feelings about the console, but then added that it would be very challenging for Blizzard to make a Overwatch Nintendo Switch port.

I’m loving the Switch! My second favorite gaming platform of all time is the 3DS. Getting OW on the Switch is very challenging for us. But we’re always open minded about exploring possible platforms.

Of course everything is not lost. Nintendo Switch has a lot of games coming within the next months, including a custom version of FIFA 18. If the console is successful and Nintendo accepts working with Blizzard, there’s nothing that can stop Overwatch Nintendo Switch from reaching the stores.

But Kaplan is not only in love with Nintendo Switch. The director has also praised The Legend of Zelda: Breath of The Wild during a recent AMA session, claiming it’s a masterpiece. And we agree with him, the game is very good.

However, some people missed the iconic hat of Link.

Art Director, Satoru Takizawa has explained that Nintendo removed it since it was hard to make it look cool:

As the graphic fidelity has increased it becomes way more difficult to make that hat look cool. As the game becomes more realistic it’s difficult to present it in a way that’s appealing. If you look at Twilight Princess, I really made the hat long, so it would flap in the wind and move around. But because of that people were like ‘What’s he got? What’s in that hat?’

Nintendo Switch and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of The Wild are available worldwide.
