The dragon spirits in Zelda: Breath of the Wild drop different items depending on where you hit them. Here’s a brief overview:

  • Farming claws requires hitting the legs
  • Farming fangs requires hitting the mouth
  • Farming shards requires hitting the horns
  • Farming scales requires hitting the rest of the body

Farosh

To farm Farosh’s parts, head to the Lakeside Stable and wait by the cooking pot until morning. In the morning, head towards the bridge and check the top waterfall on the left.

The spirit will most likely appear. If it doesn’t appear, wait till the next morning.

Naydra

To farm Naydra’s parts, head to the Lanaryu Promenade and stand on the cliff in the east side. Once there, burn the wood and wait till morning.

In the morning, pay attention to the sky above the mountain. Farming Naydra requires the completion of his quest.

Dinraal

To farm Dinraal’s parts, head to the Eldin Great Skeleton and stand on top of the skeleton’s head. Once there, burn the wood and wait till morning.

In the morning, pay attention to the sky to find the spirit.

They will be used for cooking, as they can drastically reduce the cooking time. They can also be used in the shrine quests, and armor upgrades.
