New PS Vita Patent Found, An Upgrade or a New Device?
It is safe to say that the PS Vita was not all that popular and Sony did lose some money on the handheld device. We have found a New PS Vita patent but this does not mean that this will see the light of day and will be put into production. Sony is a huge company and has many patents and not all of them are put into production and we are not so sure about this one looking at how the PS Vita went.

It is interesting to see that this patent has been found just a few weeks before the launch of the Nintendo Switch and this could, in fact, be something that will rival the device but we are not sure as of right now. One of the major selling points of the Switch is that it can be docked and the user can play on the big screen and it can also be taken out to play games on the go.
While this New PS Vita patent shows that it is, in fact, a handheld device there is no indication that it will also have a docking feature or some other feature that will allow the player to play on the big screen as well.
From what we have seen for far, the mobile gaming market is a very lucrative one and it would not be surprising that Sony wants to have a go at it again but I would think twice before doing so. The Nintendo Switch is a unique product that will be hitting the market next month and I do not think that this will affect the hype surrounding the Switch even if is announced. Let us know what you think about this New PS Vita patent and is you would like this to be an actual product in the near future.
