Destiny 2: forge of hope

Just earlier, we reported that Destiny 2 is dubbed as Destiny 2: Forge of Hope. The game is set to release in November for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Project Scorpio, PlayStation 4 Pro, and PC. One other detail we managed to grab is regarding character transfer.

According to the same report that leaked other details, Destiny characters can not be transferred to Destiny 2: Forge of Hope. This is due to the fact that Bungie is working with a new game engine that differs from the one used for Destiny.

Due to the new engine Bungie had to make the hard decision of previous Characters being left behind. The upside to this is the new release will have a more customization character creation including facial hair and class themed face paint and tattoos.

Bungie is working on substantial content updates for each quarter, similar to the April update. Expansions will once again play a major role and according to the report, Bungie has a small team working on the first expansion for Destiny 2: Forge of Hope. The unnamed expansion will release in Fall 2018.

Keep in mind that these details are leaked via an alleged internal source at Bungie but how credible they are can not be determined at the time. This is a developing story so we will have more details as soon as there is news to share.
