Speaking with Dualshockers, Tabata said that Square Enix has no plans to port Final Fantasy XV to Nintendo Switch as it would not run it. He added that Nintendo Switch might run the game but the devs have not conducted any tests yet.

There are no plans for Switch at the moment, but overall, there is interest in the platform among the development team. We do have lots of Nintendo fans inside BD2.

Incidentally, I think that Switch would be really cool if it could run Android apps on its portable screen…

However, Hajime Tabata is very interested in bringing Final Fantasy XV to PC, saying that he would like to see the game running on a high-end PC.

I’d like to release the game on PC as a technical attempt. I want to show users what Final Fantasy XV can do if running on high-end machines, and we personally would like to see it too. Also, I would like to try developing on PC to create a very unique way of playing with PC-exclusive features like making your own quests and a stuff like that. Even things like mod would be great.

Square Enix has also confirmed the off-road Regalia for the game that will allow players to freely drive around in the world, but it’s still in development and is currently unknown when it will arrive.

Final Fantasy XV is an open-world action adventure game developed by Square Enix for Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
