Nioh New Game+ mode

Nioh is an excellent game and a return to form for developer Team Ninja. Here we will give you a quick rundown of Nioh New Game+ or postgame content and what to expect from it. Before we begin, it is important to note that there will be minor spoilers for the game so a SPOILER WARNING is in order.

For more help on Nioh, read out our Character Builds Guide, How to Respec Skill Points Guide, and Amrita Farming Guide.

Once you have completed the game you will receive a series of gifts which will be one of each Divine weapon. This is a new tier of gear and can be extended to armor pieces. This will be your main source to buff up in postgame other than leveling up.

After completing the game, a new main campaign level will pop up and to unlock the Nioh New Game+ mode you will have to clear this level. After completing this level you will unlock the New Game+ mode that will be titled as “Way of the Strong”.

After unlocking the Nioh New Game+ mode you can revisit the entire game at will. Just open up the region select menu and you will also be able to select the mode for that region. However, at first regions from the first three missions will be unlocked along with the side missions and you have to clear out the first three in order to access the rest of the regions. Also, given you will be playing in New Game+ mode, these regions will offer higher XP rewards and loot.

Other bonus included in Nioh New Game+ mode is the ability to level up your Guardians to 30, which will take you almost 10 missions to reach. Not only there will be a higher chance of random Divine drops but you can enhance the drop rate by spending ochoko cups.

If you go to the Teahouse you will be able to unlock new costumes by spending some currency of course. Also, you will be able to continue your progress in the New Game+ mode meaning your progress in the previous playthrough will not be overwritten.
