Team EnVyUs Rebuilds Counter-Strike Roster After the French Shuffle

By   /   Feb 6, 2017

Having lost three core members over the weekend, Team EnVyUs has rebuilt its Counter-Strike roster to feature old and some new promising faces.

Vincent “Happy” Schopenhauer is sticking with the French side as its acting captain, as well as veteran Christophe “SIXER” Xia. As the rumors indicated, Cédric “RpK” Guipouy has been picked up by Team EnVyUs after he was dropped by G2 Esports. They are joined by Alexandre “xms” Forte from Team LDLC and David “devoduvek” Dobrosavljevic from Vexed Gaming.

The new Counter-Strike roster of Team EnVyUs will be looking towards improving on the recent collapse at last month’s ELEAGUE Major where it was knocked out from the group stages. The experience value presented by SIXER and RpK, under the leadership of Happy, should prove beneficial for the team to grow.

On the weekend, G2 Esports signed three star players from Team EnVyUs: Nathan “NBK” Schmitt, Kenny “kennyS” Schrub and Dan “apEX” Madesclaire.

All three are monsters when it comes to individual performances. They are widely considered as some of the best players in the game, having secured multiple Valve Majors and victories in several other international events. Suffice to say, it was a major blow for Team EnVyUs. The old roster was highly regarded as one of best teams in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.

Adil “ScreaM” Benrlitom, the second player to be dropped by G2 Esports in the roster shuffle, remains without a team. According to rumors, he has been contacted by FaZe Clan and is currently considering the offer.

Rumors for what has been dubbed as the French shuffle have been floating about for the past two months. The anticipation lay in seeing two French super teams coming out of the roster changes. G2 Esports announced its roster on Sunday. Unfortunately, it didn’t survive against the new-old Fnatic roster.
