NieR Automata is one of the most anticipated games of this year and its less than a month away from launch. Now Square Enix has announced that NieR Automata has gone gold.

Square Enix producer Yosuke Saito announced that the development on NieR automata has been completed. According to the producer, NieR Automata went gold a while ago but only now they decided to reveal it because it is a trendy thing to do.

Recently, NieR creator Yoko Taro revealed that the first NieR game could be remastered for current gen consoles but only if the sequel sells like hot cakes.

However, that is not the only thing Platinum Games has promised if the game sells well. As the game will only be launching for PlayStation 4 and PC, the studio promised that they would consider porting NieR Automata to Xbox One but that would depend on the game’s sales.

The game will also feature an Auto-Mode, which lets players sit back and let the AI complete battles for them. But it will only be available for easy difficulty.

When turned on, the Auto-Mode will allow AI to attack and defend on its own without needing any external assistance. Players, however, must upgrade their weapons/gadgets constantly to aid the AI in some way.

NieR Automata is an action RPG is development at Platinum Games and is scheduled to launch on February 23, 2017, for PC and PlayStation 4.
