Pokemon Duel Beginner Guide
In our Pokemon Duel Beginner Guide, we have detailed everything you need to know about winning conditions, combat tips, and more.
There are multiple winning conditions in Pokemon Duel i.e. Time Out, Waiting, and capturing opponent’s base.
To trigger this condition, you need to block your opponent’s spawn points and defeat all active Pokemon on the board. This essentially ensures that your opponent has nothing to do on their turn; allowing you to secure a Waiting Win.
It’s important that players take their turn before the timer on top of the screen runs out. This timer basically ensures that players do not keep their opponents waiting for a long time.
Therefore, what you need to do is to take your turns quickly and intelligently. This should, sometimes, force your opponents into wasting their time and even making some horrendous mistakes. If they run out of time before you do, you’ll automatically receive a win.
The combat system featured in Pokemon Duel is different from traditional Pokemon games. There is no concept of attacking your opponent with your desired attacks.
In Pokemon Duel, attacks are basically determined by a roulette spin. Due to this, you need to look at all your attacks, compare them to your opponent’s attacks, and dive only if you’re on a combat advantage.
The game basically features a color-based combat system in which certain colors defeat other colors. Continue reading to learn more about this unique color-based combat system.

This dictates status-effects and defeats lower-stared purple and white.
This dictates damage and only defeat lower-damage white.
This dictates special attack and only defeats purple and lower-damage white.
These are some of the things that you should keep in mind before diving into a battle with your opponent.
While playing the Quest Mode, you should focus on completing challenges. Completing challenges essentially allow you to get more Gems and Time Boosters.
Since it’s not introduced in the game’s Tutorial Section, it’s rather easy to overlook the Quest Mode. However, you should avoid doing so because the mode offers brilliant rewards and is fairly simple to complete.
One of the first important things to know about Time Boosters is to make sure you activate them instead of just selecting them. In addition to this, it’s a good idea to stick to using a single Time Booster at any given time.
