Gaming Benchmarks

Battlefield 1

Testing battlefield 1 we can see that the RX 480 comes on top all the rest. The GPU manages to get 66 FPS at 1080p while at second place we have the R9 380. The GPU manages 45 FPS which is a significant decrease from the RX 480. The R9 270x is capable of running the game at 33 FPS and the HD 7870 manages 31 FPS. The game is pretty much unplayable on the remaining two games.

Rise of the Tombraider

Running Rise of the Tombraider the RX 480 was able to manage 58 FPS. At the second place, we have The R9 380 again at 40 FPS. At third place there is the R9 270x that manages 30.5 FPS. The game is not playable on the rest of the GPUs.

Fallout 4

Here again, we see the RX 480 at the top with 67 FPS. At the second place, the R9 380 manages 44 FPS. The R9 270x manages 34 FPS and the HD 7870 manages 32 FPS. The game is not playable on the rest of the GPUs.

Dirt Showdown

Dirt is both CPU and GPU intensive and here we see that the RX 480 manages to achieve 110 FPS. At second place we have the R9 380 with 78 FPS. The R9 270x pushes out 68.8 FPS. The HD 7870 pushes out 64 FPS. The game is unplayable on the rest of the cards.

We can see from these results that the RX 480 is a huge improvement over the previous cards and it is great value for money. The benchmarks speak for themselves and there is nothing that I really need to say here. What do you think about these comparison benchmarks comparing the RX 480 with previous gen cards?
