Resident Evil 7 Biohazard Worldwide Sales Exceed Over 2.5 Million
The worldwide shipments of the recently released Resident Evil 7 Biohazard have reached over 2.5 million units across PC, PS4, and Xbox One; Capcom has announced.
The series made its debut back in 1996 and the cumulative sales of the games in the series total over 75 million units, as of Jan. 27, 2017.

Resident Evil 7 Biohazard Worldwide Sales
The latest entry in the series builds upon its roots of fear, survival, and tense environments. The entire game is also available to play in PlaystationVR Mode for the Playstation 4 which changes the entire experience drastically and presents an overwhelmingly immersive horror feel.
Built upon Capcom’s in-house developed RE Engine, the game manages to push the hardware specifications to limits. Moreover, Resident Evil 7 Biohazard is the first-ever installment in the series that features the first-person perspective instead of traditional third-person camera view.
All these things combined with an immersive storyline and intelligent gameplay mechanics netted the game’s demo over 7.15 million worldwide downloads. As mentioned earlier, the final game managed to sell over 2.5 million units worldwide which is expected to grow in days to come.
According to Capcom, the game has a length of around 10 hours, however, a professional speedrunner was able to complete the game in mere 2 hours. Obviously, the speedrunner’s playthrough includes a couple of tricks which you can find by heading over to the post!
