There Is A Possibility Of Zelda Game Featuring Female Link, Says Series Producer
Legend Of Zelda is one of the most popular franchises for Nintendo and the next entry in the franchise is less than two months away from launch. Since the beginning, Legend Of Zelda games have featured a male protagonist and recently there have been talks of Zelda game featuring female Link.
Developers have really tried to avoid this subject and now series producer Aonuma has hinted that there is a possibility of a Zelda game featuring female Link. Speaking with Waypoint, Aonuma spoke about his work as a producer for the upcoming game and other aspects of being a producer for the series.
When asked about if future Zelda games will feature a Female Link? Aonuma said that in Hyrule Warriors players can play as Princess Zelda and other numerous female characters but still, there is a possibility of the Zelda game led by a female Link.
…on the Wii U there’s already Hyrule Warriors. In that you’ve got Princess Zelda herself as a playable character, and a real assortment of playable characters including numerous female ones. So, that title exists already. But in the future, regarding doing that sort of thing again, and changing what you expect from Zelda characters, I’d say yes, it’s a possibility.
Recently, Aonuma also hinted that there could be another Legend Of Zelda game on Nintendo Switch after Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of the Wild.
I haven’t been able to fully use all of the new features of the system. There could be the possibility of another Zelda on Nintendo Switch.
Legend Of Zelda Breath Of The Wild is an open-world action adventure game in development at Nintendo and will launch on March 3, 2017, for Nintendo Switch and Wii U.
