It has been a while since developer The Deep End Games revealed anything new about their upcoming horror game, Perception. Now the studio has announced its partnership with Feardemic and will be bringing their first game to PlayStation 4 along with PC.

Perception is an atmospheric first-person horror game that tells the story of Cassie, “a blind heroine who uses her extraordinary hearing and razor-sharp wits to unravel the mysteries of an abandoned estate that haunts her dreams”.

In terms of gameplay and visuals, the game is very interesting as players will have to make use of the “echolocation” instead of full vision. This will leave the player with sonar-like ability to see surrounding environments and navigate through them.

The developers have also revealed some new screenshots for the game that showcase the game’s colorless environments.

Perception is a project of former BioShock, BioShock Infinite and Dead Space developers. The game will offer a bold and a fresh take on first-person narrative driven games. Also, the studio is yet to announce a release date for the game.
