Xbox One Home Button Functionality Changing With Upcoming Update

With every new update for Xbox One, Microsoft has been trying to improve the user experience and make things much more accessible and minimize any potential gameplay interruption. Now, Microsoft has announced that some changes are coming to Xbox One home button.

In a recent post on Xbox Wire, Microsoft has revealed that a new update for Xbox One is coming that will be making changes to the functionality of the Xbox One home button. Microsoft has revealed that with one press of the home button it will pull up the enhanced Guide as an overlay.

Through one press of the Xbox button on your controller, you’ll be able to pull up the newly enhanced Guide as an overlay on the left side of your screen no matter what you’re doing.

According to Microsoft, using this functionality users will be able to start recording clips and can access their recorded clips directly from the overlay.

You’ll be able to start recording your GameDVR clips, adjust your recording length, and access your captures directly in the Guide. We’ll also add a new Achievement tracking overlay, Gamerscore Leaderboard, a new Cortana design, and controls for background music, making these features easier to use.

It is good to see that Microsoft is making necessary changes to its console to create an ease of access. Also, Microsoft is yet to announce the release date for the upcoming Xbox One update.
