Team Ninja’s upcoming action-RPG titled Nioh has gone gold and is all set for February release, Koei Tecmo has announced.

The publisher has also announced a livestream event that is planned to take place on Jan. 20, 2017.

Nioh has Gone Gold

The livestream event will have the game’s director Yosuke Hayashi who will share some highlights of the game and explain some of its features. In addition to Hayashi-san, you will also see Toshiyuki Itakura and Saki Suzuki.

Therefore, if you wish to learn more about the game and its features, make sure to tune-in at YouTube, Nico Nico Live, or AbemaTV at 10:00 PM JST.

According to the game’s director, Fumihiko Yasuda, the game will take somewhere around 70 hours to complete. However, if the game is anything like SoulsBorne series by FromSoftware, you can be sure to have more gameplay time than what Yasuda-san has estimated.

The reason I’m saying this is because SoulsBorne games tend to be quite punishing… and highly rewarding. Moreover, if you try to find all the items, weapons, and armour sets; it should take you a lot longer.

Speaking of weapons, Koei Tecmo recently shared a bunch of screenshots from the game, showing off a wide array of weapons, arenas, enemies, bosses, and NPCs. Among the weapons, you can expect to play with katanas, pikes, bows, daggers, curved swords, straight swords, and other special weapons.

Nioh is planned to release next month on Feb. 07 in the US, on Feb. 08 in Europe, and on Feb. 09 in Japan exclusively for PS4 and PS4 Pro.
