Report: FIFA For Nintendo Switch Will Be Based On PS3/Xbox 360 Version

FIFA franchise is coming to Nintendo Switch but it does not seem to be a launch title for the console. While EA has announced that game will be a tailor-made experience for the upcoming console but according to a report, the FIFA for Nintendo Switch will be based on the PS3/Xbox 360 version of the games.

The report comes from Eurogamer’s deputy news editor Tom Philips, who claims that his source has revealed that FIFA for Nintendo Switch will be based on the PlayStation 3/Xbox 360 version of the game.

I've heard FIFA Switch is based off of the 360/PS3 versions which still get made.

If the game is truly based on the legacy version of the game this means the FIFA for Nintendo Switch could be behind the current gen versions in terms of features and gameplay.

In related news, Gearbox Software head, Randy Pitchford, has revealed that Borderlands 3 might not be coming to Nintendo Switch. According to Pitchford, they did talk with Nintendo about bringing their game to the hybrid console but Nintendo has other priorities.

Nintendo Switch will launch on March 3, 2017, and will be priced at $299.99 in the US and Legend Of Zelda Breath Of The Wild will be a launch title for the console.
