So far, some of the details we know about Scorpio is 6 TFLOPs of performance, 320GB per second memory bandwidth, and 8 CPU cores. The only thing I’m looking forward to the most is its price which will be a huge determining factor.

Personally, I would have liked Microsoft to unveil Project Scorpio on a separate event as opposed to E3 2017 and reveal its pricing, technical capabilities, and availability during the separate show. This should give the studio ample time to focus on showing games and Scorpio’s launch titles during its E3 media briefing.

The upcoming Crackdown 3 is believed to be one of the launch titles for Microsoft’s 4K console. During the studio’s Extra Life Stream on Xbox, Dave Johnson confirmed that the studio is still targeting holiday 2017 release which coincides with Scorpio’s launch window. Apart from this, I would not be surprised if already available Xbox One games such as Gears of War 4 and Halo 5: Guardians get 4K treatment.

Speaking of 4K, an image taken during CES 2017 shows Scorpio advertised as using AMD Ryzen and Vega combo which was also shown during the same show. If this turns out to be true, Scorpio will definitely have a massive advantage over PS4 Pro. To read up more, head over to the post!
