It has been over 2 years since the launch of Elite Dangerous and this is the first time any player has encountered aliens in the galaxy-spanning space combat game. An Xbox user “DP Sayre” is the very first player to encounter the aliens while playing Elite Dangerous on Xbox One.

The user also uploaded the video of his encounter and shortly after the video went live, developer Frontier Developments have seemed to confirm the existence of aliens in the game.

The PlayStation 4 version of the game will also have the console exclusive features. These features include touchpad functionality and optional motion-based “headlook” controls via the DualShock 4 controller. Also, the game will allow players to designate four points on the touchpad as hotkeys.

We’re thrilled to bring Elite: Dangerous to PlayStation 4. Elite Dangerous is unlike any other space game, with a rich multiplayer or single-player space, a true-to-life galaxy including our own entire night sky, real physics, unique ship handling characteristics, and a player-driven narrative that’s really heating up. The galaxy has been stable for centuries, but all that is about to change. PlayStation 4 players will be joining our galaxy at a very exciting time.

Elite Dangerous is a space adventure game developed by Frontier Games for PC and Xbox One.
