New AMD Vega GPU Pictures, What Lies Beneath The Taped Off GPU

The tape has come off of the AMD Vega GPU and here is what lies under what we did not get to see previously. Check it out here.

There is a lot of hype surrounding AMD Ryzen and AMD Vega and we recently talked about how the hype around Ryzen and Vega have had a positive effect on AMD shares.

Previously, we took a look at the AMD Vega GPU but it was covered in tape so we could not see much and although we still do not have much information regarding the GPU the tape is off for everyone to see and we thought you should take a look as well.

We can see that the card uses 8+6 pin power connectors to provide it with the necessary juice and we can also note that it is a very long card but that is mainly because the USB 3.0 host connector is still in place, something that will not be there in the final version of the GPU. We can expect the GPU to be shorter when it comes to market.

Looking at the size of the GPU it is safe to say that it could be housing a serious heat sink under the hood, at least that is what we can assume from the looks of the reference design. Aftermarket versions could turn out to be different from what we have seen with the GTX 1050 and GTX 1060 from Nvidia.

We are also expecting the GTX 1080 Ti to come out soon and while rumors state that AMD Vega will be able to outperform the GPU from team green we can not be certain unless we can see what both are capable of.

Let us know what you think of the upcoming AMD Vega GPU and the Nvidia GTX 1080 Ti.
