If we are lucky, we might receive a new Devil May Cry game in 2017, according to Hideaki Itsuno.

Itsuno is known for his work on Dragon’s Dogma, Devil May Cry 2, DMC 3: Dante’s Awakening, and DMC4. In addition to these titles, Itsuno also worked as a supervising director for DmC: Devil May Cry.

Possibility of a new Devil May Cry Game in 2017

Wishing everyone a happy new year on his official Twitter feed, Capcom director Hideaki Itsuno confirmed that he will announce a new game this year:

Happy New Year! I exert myself in order to announce a new game this year. Thank you.

There is no confirmation whether the unannounced game is going to be DMC5 or something else entirely, but being a huge fan of Itsuno, I’m up for anything headed my way.

We have had enough Devil May Cry rumors over the past year; most notable one coming from voice actor Nils Hognestad. Hognestad was reported to include DMC to his resume, outlining him as playing the lead role.
