The Last of Us part 2

Naughty Dog revealed its most anticipated game, The Last of Us Part 2, during the PlayStation Experience event. Ever since the trailer was revealed there have been a lot of speculations and players showing their excitement for the game. So, to get you more excited we are doing the 5 Things We Want To See In The Last Of Us Part 2.

SPOILER WARNING, from this point onward there are going to be spoilers for The Last Of Us.

5 Things We Want To See In The Last Of Us Part 2

#5- Improved Crafting Sytem

The crafting system in the first game was quite satisfying in some ways as it let us salvage items to create certain objects. However, In The Last Of Us Part 2 we would like to see this crafting system expanded to allow more variety in objects we can salvage or create.

Players were limited to what they could pick up in the first game, given the game was developed for PlayStation 3 there could be some technical difficulties with some aspects of the game.

Since the sequel is being developed for PlayStation 4 and PS4 Pro the developers should face fewer difficulties in implementing a crafting system that allows more interacting with the environment and what we can create with salvaged material.

#4- More Character Development For Side Characters

Ellie and Joel were the main lead and heart and soul of the first game. Their characters were extremely well written but sometimes the side characters were just as fascinating as the main duo. However, Naughty Dog did not develop much of the side characters such as Joel’s younger brother.

It would be great to see o hear the stories of the post-apocalyptic world through the perspective of these side characters or their struggles to survive in a world which is no longer what is used to be.

#3- Deal With Joel’s Lie To Ellie

At the end of the first game, Ellie was prepared to give her life if it meant an end to the apocalypse. However, Joel rescues her from the Fireflies and lies to her. The developers have already revealed that Ellie knows that Joel was lying but she accepted it probably the bond they had formed with each other.

In The Last Of Us Part 2, we would like to see Ellie confronting Joel about his lie or at least the tension between them addressed. Also, it is only a matter of time that Ellie has to confront Joel about his lie because how lang can she accept it that Joel took from the world the chance to stop the epidemic.

#2- More Of The Fireflies

In the reveal trailer for The Last Of Us Part 2, we see a stop sign with the Fireflies symbol branded on it. With Ellie knowing that Joel lied to her, it might be possible that Ellie approached the Fireflies or there is a possibility that they turned on her to get the cure.

We want to see more of the fireflies in the sequel not just the enforcers but a prominent character of the organization who calls all the shots or Fireflies could lend a hand to the settlement since their main goal is to save the humanity.

It would also be interesting to know about their origin how they know about the cure and what are they planning.

#1- Less Linear Levels

The Last Of Us is a brilliant game with fully realized environments and atmosphere. However, one thing the game was slightly criticized for was its linear structure of levels but considering how much story driven the game was the linear structure of levels and environments made sense.

The Last of Us Part 2 will also be a story driven game but we would like to see open-ended environments if not open-world. We would like to explore the environments or take different routes to reach our objective.

This is something Naughty Dog showcased in Uncharted 4’s Madagascar level where players were free to choose their approach or where they wanted to go.

So, these are the things that we want to see in The Last Of Us Part 2. Is there anything that you would like to see in the sequel? Let us know in the comments.
