Super Mario Run is now available for the iOS devices. The game stars Nintendo’s iconic mascot, Mario, as a playable character but there are five additional playable characters that need to be unlocked by players.

These additional characters are Toad, Peach, Yoshi, Toadette, and Luigi. Let us start with the character that is easy to unlock. Toad can be unlocked by logging in with your My Nintendo account.

Next up is peach which can be unlocked by beating all 24 game’s world tour levels. As for the remainder of the three characters, to unlock them you need to play the Kingdom Builder mode which is available after you have played the Toad Rally for the first time.

You will also earn Toads in Toad Rally, and using these toads players can go into Special” section of Kingdom Builder mode to purchase houses for Luigi, Yoshi, and Toadette.

Toads that you will earn will be divided into five colors: red, blue, green, purple and yellow. Each house for the characters requires a certain number of toads.

Luigi’s house can be purchased for 150 green Toads and 150 purple Toads, Yoshi’s house can be unlocked for 30 red Toads and 30 yellow Toads and Toadette House can be unlocked for 200 red Toads and 200 blue Toads, and 200 green Toads.

Super Mario Run is currently available for iOS and those who are waiting for the game to release for Android are going to wait a little longer as Nintendo has announced that Super Mario Run will launch for Android in 2017. Nintendo hasn’t said why, however, and has only said to expect the game in 2017.

Super Mario Run is a side-scrolling, auto-runner platformer video game developed by Nintendo for iOS.
