My Nintendo members that may have been looking to buy Super Mario Run on their mobile devices when it released today now have extra incentive to do it, as special Super Mario Run rewards have now been implemented into the game for My Nintendo members. These rewards are Platinum Points that can be traded for items.

All you have to do to link your My Nintendo account to the game is to start the game, head to the main menu, then click the “Link” option before entering your My Nintendo account information. As an added bonus, as soon as you link your account and the game, you’ll get a hundred Platinum Points.

Other missions include adding friends to the game, clearing worlds in the game, playing the daily Toad Rally event, and winning that Toad Rally three times in a week.

All of these will get you varying amounts of Platinum Points that you can use for in-game Super Mario Run rewards, such as coins or tickets that you’ll need to enter the Toad Rally events getting Mario props (including a golden Mario statue) and more.

You don’t have to worry about spending money to get those either, in case you think you want something; since Super Mario Run isn’t a free-to-play game, it doesn’t have in-app purchases.

While Super Mario Run may not be a high-quality mobile game like some other rare gems in the genre, it’s better than most of them due to its lack of microtransactions, even if you do have to be constantly connected to the internet in order to keep it working.

If you’re interested in getting any of these Super Mario Run rewards, and you have a My Nintendo account, then it’s simple enough to connect your account and the game together; and, if you’ve already downloaded the game on your iPhone, go have fun!
