Nintendo has announced that Legend Of Zelda Breath Of The Wild will be launching for both Wii U and Nintendo Switch. However, a new report has surfaced that suggests Wii U version of the game has been canceled.

According to the report, the reason why the game was canceled for Wii U is that the development team was facing difficulties developing the game for Wii U. Also, digital stores such as Amazon has removed the Wii U version from the store and there has been massive cancellation of pre-orders.

Given that Legend Of Zelda Breath Of The Wild is a massive game and Wii U is relatively old hardware and the team might have faced some difficulties to develop such a big game for an outdated system.

Also, Nintendo has revealed the functionality for the 30th anniversary Zelda Amiibo for the upcoming game. According to Nintendo, each amiibo will drop a particular item and these amiibos also have a chance to drop a treasure chest too.

The 8-bit amiibo will drop barrels which may contain rupees, the Ocarina of Time Link will drop meat for the players to heal, The Wind Waker Link will drop fish and The Wind Waker Zelda will drop plants.

Legend Of Zelda Breath Of The Wild is an open-world action adventure game in development at Nintendo for Nintendo Switch and Wii U. Also, no release date has been announced for the game.
