Uncharted 4 Survival DLC Out Today, Adds New Customization And Multiplayer Maps
During their latest livestream, Naughty Dog has finally shed some more light on the upcoming Uncharted 4 Survival update including the download size.
The Uncharted 4 Survival update will be releasing today and will be available for free to anyone who owns Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End. The update size will be around 3.7GB which is understandable given the amount of content the update adds to the game.
The biggest new addition in the update is of course the brand new 4 player co-op mode, Survival which players can either play solo or with 3 other friends. The Survival mode will be typical Horde mode with some RPG style progression.
There are 50 waves in total divided across ten maps. Players will be able to save their progress after a map and then return to it at a later date.
Players will be able to select their difficulty before starting the co-op mode with the option to choose between easy, moderate, hard, crushing and hardcore. Irrespective of the difficulty they choose, the more waves they clear the tougher the enemies will be.
Hardcore mode on the other hand will be the ultimate test as it will have permanent death so if a player dies, it is game over. Completing waves at any difficulty will reward players with Relics.
The Survival co-op mode also features a leaderboard system so there will be a competition of the best completion or survival times as well.
Alongside the co-op mode, the Uncharted 4 Survival update will be adding a new King of the Hill PvP game mode for public testing as well as two new maps, Train Wreck and Prison.
To round off the DLC, Naughty Dog is adding a ton of customization options with Uncharted 4 Survival update including new skins. Each multiplayer skin is set to receive 25 new selectable color combinations and there are now unlocks for the new level cap.
