Elite Dangerous Update

Following the launch of Elite Dangerous on PC and Xbox one the game will soon make its way to PlayStation 4 and the PlayStation 4 Pro.

Developer Frontier Games has announced that Elite Dangerous for PlayStation 4 will launch sometime between April and June in 2017.

The PlayStation 4 version of Elite dangerous will also have the console exclusive features. These features include touchpad functionality and optional motion-based “headlook” controls via the DualShock 4 controller. Also, the game will allow players to designate four points on the touchpad as hotkeys.

As for the PlayStation 4 Pro, the developer only said that players with the upgraded system will further benefit from enhanced performance throughout the game. According to David Braben, the studio is very excited to bring the game to PlayStation 4 and it is a very exciting time to join the game.

We’re thrilled to bring Elite: Dangerous to PlayStation 4. Elite Dangerous is unlike any other space game, with a rich multiplayer or single-player space, a true-to-life galaxy including our own entire night sky, real physics, unique ship handling characteristics, and a player-driven narrative that’s really heating up. The galaxy has been stable for centuries, but all that is about to change. PlayStation 4 players will be joining our galaxy at a very exciting time.

Combat logging has been an issue in Elite Dangerous for some time and has been officially declared as cheating. According to a report, it seems that developers are not only ignoring this problem but also lying to the community about taking action against exploiters.

Elite Dangerous is an action space adventure game developed and published by Frontier Developments for PC and Xbox One.
