Become a Space Pirate With League of Legends Dreadnova Gangplank Skin

By   /   Dec 7, 2016

The Public Beta Environment (PBE) has been updated by Riot Games to include a vicious League of Legends Dreadnova Gangplank skin.

His official splash-art puts him in the midst of a futuristic battle in space, with crimson meteor showers in the back and flying vessels above. You can also see the rings of Saturn on the horizon. Could the barren mountainous war-torn planet depicted in the splash-art be Jupiter, the closest planet to Saturn?

The new League of Legends Dreadnova Gangplank skin forgoes the tricorne and replaces the eye-patch with a red optic. A cybernetic left-arm extends into a dangerous blade while his right — human — hand wields a lethal laser.

The Saltwater Scourge has apparently gone through an incredible upgrade. His Powder Kegs are replaced with new bombs that rotate with each channeling click. They also link together with a visible red laser.

His Cannon Barrage ultimate ability drops in a red-cosmic attack with an intimidating laughter in the background from the overlord. The new League of Legends Dreadnova Gangplank skin also gets a nifty recall animation, interacting with a strange, but cute, space creature.

According to the current PBE version, the new Gangplank look will cost 1350 RP when it goes live in the near future. As always, information acquired on the testing realm is subject to change.

In the mean time, see if you can identify the two characters in the back of Dreadnova Gangplank’s splash-art. It wouldn’t be surprising to know if the shadow-laden figures are in fact teasers to future skins or champions, a common happening from the incredible artists at Riot Games.
