Fans of the Marvel vs Capcom franchise have been waiting for the next game in the series to drop. While series producer recently shared his desire for Marvel vs Capcom 4, it seems that fans will not have to wait long before the game is announced.

A new rumor has made its way to the internet that suggests that Marvel vs Capcom 4 will be announced during at PlayStation Experience. According to NeoGaf User Ryce:
I wasn’t going to share this, but enough beating around the bush: a few other GAFers and myself were told about a Marvel vs. Capcom 4 announcement at PSX. I didn’t think it would happen for all of the obvious reasons, but there you go. We’ll know for certain in eight days.
Earlier this year Marvel Games noted that they have been receiving requests from fans of the series to make a new game in the series. The latest games in the series are Marvel vs. Capcom 3 and Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 which launched a few years ago.
It is important to note that this is just a rumor so take is a grain of salt.
Marvel vs Capcom is crossover fighting series developed and published by Capcom. The series features Marvel comic book characters along with Capcom’s own characters fighting each other.
