Steam Autumn Sale

Valve has begun a Steam Sale, the Steam Autumn Sale, because they can’t wait until the winter holidays to get into your wallet and persuade you to spend hundreds of dollars on games that will languish on your list for possible years. The sale will last from today until November 29, next Tuesday.

The Steam Autumn Sale is much like any other Steam sale, being a week-long sale where players can look up great deals on thousands of games across Steam, allowing you to buy everything from DLCs you’ve been wanting to whole new games, just in time for other Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales across the internet.

In addition to the Steam Autumn Sale, Steam will also begin the first annual Steam Awards, allowing players to give various award nominations that they think their favorite games deserve to games on the platform. The more you nominate various games for awards, the more profile XP and badges that you’ll be earning for participating, with all of them eventually getting into the final rounds of who will win each award.

The various awards in the Steam Awards are filled with the typical sort of irreverence that you can expect minor award things to be, ranging from things like the “I Thought This Game Was Cool Before It Won An Award” award, the “Best Use of a Farm Animal” award, the “Just Five More Minutes” award, and the “Villain Most In Need Of A Hug” award. You can even suggest your own categories for the show.

So, if you’re running out of games to play and need something to tide you over until the Steam Winter Sale starts, you can take a look on Steam and browse the 12,000-plus games that are currently on sale for a variety of prices. Maybe you’ll find something you like.
