Warner Bros. Closing Batman Arkham Origins Servers
Warner Bros. has officially announced that Batman Arkham Origins servers will be closing on December 4, 2016. So, players won’t be able to access multiplayer features after that date.
Batman Arkham Origins is an action/adventure videogame developed by Warner Bros. Games Montréal, released on October 25, 2013 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii U, eventually launching on Android and iOS with an handheld version.
This game is a prequel for the series as its storyline is set five years before Batman Arkham Asylum events, focusing on a younger and inexperienced Batman. This game features important enemies from the comic like Black Mask, Joker, Anarky and Penguin.
Arkham Origins offers a larger map than the previous chapters, since the player is now able to explore every corner of Gotham City plus new locations like the Batcave, Pioneer’s Bridge and the Final Offer (Penguin’s boat). New gadgets and fast travel with Batwing have been added too.
But the most important feature is the crime scene reconstruction, allowing Batman to investigate the scene and identify the culprit.
Last, but not least, this game has a multiplayer mode, featuring playable heroes and villains of the main story. It was quite popular when the game came out. If you don’t know this mode, you can watch this short video.
Batman Arkham Origins has had some positive reviews, but it has been criticized for not improving the franchise and not giving the fans something new.
What are your memories related to this game? Have you liked the multiplayer mode?
